      Determinação experimental das propriedades de combustão de materiais com base em poliuretano usados na construção civil

Resumo

    O presente trabalho relata a influência da espuma de poliuretano em situações de incêndio. Foram feitas consultas a diversas referências bibliográficas, relatórios periciais, mídia e ensaios já realizados, envolvendo os incêndios dos seguintes locais: The nightstate club, Boate Kiss, colectiv club e ninho do urubu, avaliando a influência dos materiais em estudo nas circunstâncias dos incêndios. Além da revisão bibliográfica, foi realizado um ensaio experimental através do equipamento cone calorímetro de perda de massa onde a espuma apresentou comportamento indesejável de reação ao fogo. Dessa forma, tornam-se fundamentais os meios de proteção passiva e ativa como medidas preventivas, uma vez que fornecem também uma proteção aos elementos estruturais, bloqueando, ou pelo menos dificultando, a ação dos meios externos na estrutura da edificação quando bem empregados. A partir disto, há uma melhor oportunidade para se efetuar um comparativo entre os incêndios, averiguando mudanças e semelhanças entre os ocorridos e de se enfatizar a importância da adoção de métodos prevenção e combate ao incêndio.

Abstract

    The present work reports the influence of polyurethane foam in fire situations. Several bibliographies, newspaper articles, reports and test were consulted, involving the fires on this places: The nightstate club, Boate Kiss, collectiv club and ninho do urubu, evaluating the influence of the materials under study on the circumstances of the fires. In addition to the literature review, an experimental test were conducted through the mass loss cone calorimeter equipment where the foam showed undesirable reaction behavior to fire. thus, passive and active means of protection are essential as preventive measures, since they also provide protection to structural elements, blocking or at least hindering the action of external means in the structure of the building when properly employed. From this, there is a better opportunity to make a comparison between fires, ascertaining changes and similarities between those occurred and to emphasize the importance of adopting fire prevention and fire fighting methods.
