Resumo
A cidade de Macaé tem sofrido inundações de grandes proporções devido a eventos de chuvas. De modo a tentar melhorar a qualidade de vida dos habitantes do Município, e entendendo que há a necessidade de minimizar o efeito do acumulo de águas pluviais na cidade, o presente trabalho busca fazer um estudo hidráulico e hidrológico dos canais de drenagem das Microbacias urbanas da região central de Macaé. Para isso, analisou-se as precipitações de eventos de cheia na cidade, e calculou-se a vazão de alguns canais da região para chegar a uma geometria compatível. Observou-se que o tempo de retorno de 25 anos não é adequado para o cálculo da precipitação na cidade, e que alguns canais não atendem à demanda hídrica de sua Microbacia. A geometria inadequada aliada a presença de lixo e esgoto doméstico lançados irregularmente no canal podem ser fatores que atrapalham a eficiência do sistema de drenagem.
Abstract
The city of Macaé has been badly affected by major flooding due to rains event in a recent time. Trying to improve the quality of life of the population and, understanding the necessity to minimize the effect of the stormwater accumulation in this city, this work aims to develop a study of hydraulic and hydrological conditions of some drain channels of urban microbasins in the central region of the city. To do that, we analyze the frequency for a given rainfall intensity, specially in flooding events. In addition, we calculate the quantity of flow, Q, of some drain channels aiming to obtain a compatible geometry with the rainfall intensity. It was observed that the return time of 25 years seems to be not adequate to the calculation of the rainfall intensity to the city and also, some drain channels do not hold their microbasins hydraulic demand, due mainly to an inadequate geometry joined to the presence of garbage and household sewage. Both factors could explain the inefficiently of the drainage system in the city of Macaé.
