    PROJETO ESTRUTURAL DE UM EDIFÍCIO RESIDENCIAL EM ESTRUTURA DE MADEIRA

Resumo

    A indústria da construção civil exerce forte impacto sobre o meio ambiente. Na área estrutural, são várias as etapas em que os materiais utilizados interferem negativamente no meio ambiente. Biomas são destruídos para a extração da matéria prima, e a fabricação de cimento e metais depende de processos térmicos, normalmente com a utilização de combustíveis fósseis. Também é grande a perda de material na execução das estruturas e o excesso de resíduos não reciclados após o término da obra.

   Existe também a necessidade de modernização do setor, uma vez que a indústria da construção civil é uma área predominantemente artesanal e rudimentar se comparada a outras áreas da engenharia. No Brasil, a grande maioria das construções é feita em estruturas de concreto armado, caracterizando o país como parte deste cenário antiquado e não sustentável. A partir da necessidade de modernização do setor e da crescente preocupação ambiental, surge como alternativa a construção estruturada em madeira. Sua utilização permite uma maior agilidade nos processos construtivos e substitui materiais com grande impacto sobre o meio ambiente.

    Este trabalho tem como objetivo o dimensionamento de um edifício residencial de quatro pavimentos utilizando uma estrutura convencional de madeira, mostrar a viabilidade técnica de se construir com este tipo de material, e também apresentar a revisão bibliográfica de um projeto de estrutura de madeira.

Abstract

    The construction industry has a strong impact on the environment. In the structural area, there are several steps in which the materials used interfere negatively with the environment. Biomes are destroyed for the extraction of the raw material, and the manufacture of cement and metals depends on thermal processes, usually with the use of fossil fuels. There is also great loss of material in the execution of the structures and excess of non-recycled waste after the work is finished.

    There is also a need for modernization of the sector, since the construction industry is a predominantly artisanal and rudimentary area compared to other areas of engineering. In Brazil, the vast majority of constructions are made of reinforced concrete structures, characterizing the country as part of this old-fashioned and unsustainable scenario. Due to the need to modernize the sector and to the growing environmental concerns, an alternative is the structured construction of wood. Its use allows greater agility in the construction processes and replaces materials with great impact on the environment.

    This work has the objective of designing a four-story residential building using a conventional wood structure, and showing the feasibility of building with this type of material, and also to present the bibliographic review of a wooden structure project.
